Pregnancy and Infant loss is so common, and yet not very talked about. I hope this section encourages you, gives you hope, as well as helps you know you are not alone. For those supporting loved ones who are grieving, I hope sharing my journey helps you to walk alongside others who are going through the same.

On, April 26, 2019, Shaydon Avery joined our world very unexpectedly, very early, and very small, weighing only 1lb. He made amazing progress thanks to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at Prentice and Lurie’s hospitals in Chicago. However, he became very sick and on July 9, a few days later, he died peacefully in my arms. This was the hardest thing I had ever gone through, and I’m so thankful to God for the wonderful support system he has surrounded me with from Day 1 and even until now. I know we will be reunited with Shaydon in eternity and I’m thankful for the 10 weeks we had with him this side of heaven.
